Adulting is hard, and we all have to work to make a living. We’ve all had rough days at work before, but have any of us ever had it this bad? Whose Day Was Worse?
Obviously, in a perfect world, none of us would need to work. But, food, housing, and all the rest of the essentials cost money, meaning work we must. Still, do our pets need to work too? Because this person brought their dog to work and then… just forgot them there. Apparently, the woman was so hungry at the end of her shift that she tore out without even checking for her pooch!
Now we’ve got to be honest, working at a doggie daycare sounds like a blast! But, how about we give that sweet golden retriever a heads-up next time if they’re going to be working late?
It’s Not Halloween Already, Is It?
Don’t you just hate when a mosquito comes buzzing right into your ear canal? Gross! We can’t stand it. But, today we unlocked a new fear when we saw a picture of this person’s headphones. Somehow, while the man was away from their desk, this little bat nestled his way into the fuzzy inner part of their headphones and went to sleep. Then, when he put them on, he had one clean ear, and one with some sonar interference.
Not going to lie, this one is still really grossing us out. Sure, bats are mammals, but don’t they also remind you of rodents? This whole thing is just… ick.
Next Time Make Sure Your Camera Is off
At this point, we can all agree, Zoom calls can be a drag! It’s especially tough for us in the office when the meetings back into each other, and go on, and on, and on. It just makes us want to climb in bed, wrap up in a blanket, and tune out for the rest of the day. Except, we usually wait until work is over to do that.
Unfortunately, this employee was just a little impatient, and got caught climbing into bed before the meeting was over. But we’ve got to be honest, we don’t blame them one bit.
How’s His Flying? Actually, Please Don’t Answer That Question
It takes approximately 40 hours to qualify for a basic airplane pilot’s license. For a helicopter, it takes even longer! But, once we’re up in the air, we always like knowing that our pilot is in control, comfortable, and wants to have us on board. But, well, this time that doesn’t seem to be the case. Between those two stickers on the back of this pilot’s helmet, we’d actually rather stay on the ground.
We’re sure that this high-flyer is just acting a bit facetious, but imagine if you were their passenger? That’s got to be one stressful flight!
Recently, We’ve Been Trying To Minimize Distractions At The Office
Whether we’re sitting in a classroom, or working at the office, after a hard day it can be pretty tempting to zone out and stare through the window. Unfortunately for this person, they were actually having an easy day and still wound up staring out the window anyway. We can’t blame them though, seagulls are distracting as is, and this one decided to post up at the window and scream for food during work hours!
Now, you’re not technically supposed to feed wild birds, even though we’ve seen a few seagulls swoop in and steal French fries before. Still, this one is so cute, we might have gone outside and fed him anyway.
These Might Be Some of The Strangest Crime Scene Photos Ever
We all know who the printer person is in the office; those clunky machines can get so complicated to use, it’s important to have someone around who knows how to fix and manage things if need be. Unfortunately for this person though, they stepped in to take care of the toner for their coworkers and wound up recreating something straight out of a video game. That's right - that black blob on the floor is all printer ink.
Whatever pants this person was wearing when the toner incident occurred have got to be completely ruined. Heck, that floor might even be ruined at this point. Ink stains, and except for the spot where this person had their feet, it seems like this whole room got stained pretty good.
What Kind of Animals Raised These People?
Potty training usually happens pretty early in a young person’s life. Parents are supposed to teach their kids the proper way to use the toilet and clean up after themselves, but it seems a few folks in this office missed that lesson. How disgusting! We couldn’t feel worse for the poor employee who had to put this poster up. They must’ve been having a pretty crappy day when all of this went down.
To be fair, this picture presents a pretty nice graphic representation of what not to do in restrooms, both public and private. Still, is this type of handholding really necessary?
Not a Good Day to Be a Stock Photography Model
Florida can be a pretty wild place, and the advertisements on their buses are no exception. This one attempts to warn people about the consequences that can come if they participate in prostitution, and the ad attempts to ward off possible offenders by showing the harrowed face of an exposed sex offender. Just look at him, those eyes have seen some things. Just one problem though: this man is not actually a sex offender.
According to a friend, this man not only works as an extra in films, but he also poses for stock photos every now and again. But apparently, after those photos are taken, the man doesn’t have any control over where they’re sold!
What a Way to Learn You're Allergic to Bees
Conservation of the American honeybee is one of the most discussed topics in environmental circles nowadays. After finding themselves critically endangered, honeybees were thankfully pulled back from the brink of extinction by the careful efforts of beekeepers everywhere. Of course, that doesn’t mean beekeeping is an easy job. Just ask this guy: his first week didn’t exactly go as planned! Nope, that isn’t lip filler, that’s a bee sting– or five.
This poor guy was just doing his best to try to help the bees, and it seems like the bees didn’t want any help. That reaction to the stings is pretty extreme though, so we’re assuming he might’ve been allergic.
This Person Literally Got Nailed at Work
A few of us here in the office have worked construction before, so we can attest, it is one tough gig. It’s even harder when things go wrong on site, extending deadlines and frustrating everyone on the job. But, worst thing of all is when injuries happen. Your coworkers are your family in the construction business, and if someone gets hurt, the whole team suffers. That’s why this picture scared all of us so much: doesn’t that look so painful!
This injury was probably caused by a malfunctioning nail gun. Thankfully though, this working girl was alright at the end of the day.
This Looks Like Trouble
When we talk about architecture, there are a few clique phrases that get overused. Like, have you ever heard someone say a home: “Has got good bones.” Well, this office definitely does not have good bones. According to the person who took this picture, that pillar was straight a week ago! That means this bad boy is load bearing, and not doing a very good job. Maybe this will sound like an exaggeration, but if you ever come across something like this you must get out of that building immediately!
We don’t care how tall the building is, or how long the pillar has been like that: a structural failure like this could spell disaster!
Nope, Nope, Nope, That Definitely Does Not Go There
In construction, a gusset plate is a piece of construction equipment that’s used to affix pieces of structural steel together. In layman’s terms, that means it’s a metal piece that connects other metal pieces in big buildings. That being said, gusset plates clearly are not supposed to be connected to, or inserted into your body– ever! They’re sharp, they’re dirty, and as the person in this picture can attest, it hurts like a son of a gun if you fall on them.
We’re just thankful that this injury didn’t turn out worse. And even though it must’ve hurt, we’re pretty impressed with this person’s catlike reflexes, and their ability to land on their hands.
Cleanup on Aisles Seven, Eight, and Nine
Don’t you just love going to Home Depot? We can’t get enough of those rows of fancy power tools, the smell of that fresh-cut lumber– and the Home Depot sales associates are always so friendly and helpful! Just look at our friend Megan here. She still has a smile on her face even though clearly, things have gone very, very wrong. What happened here is a classic case of someone running the paint mixer before checking to see if the lid was on the paint can.
Those mixers work up to really fast speeds, and as we can see from the picture, they can catapult sunshine yellow paint pretty far if given the chance.
A Nice Nutritious Lunch
Everyone has a morning routine, but getting out the door and going to work can be so hectic sometimes that things get lost in the shuffle. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve arrived at work, only to realize we left our nice, homemade lunch still sitting in the fridge at home. This poor person did practically the same thing, but they took it to a whole new level.
After cleaning out their cat’s litter box and putting the rubbish in a bag, this person left for work with their lunch, threw out the litter and climbed into the car. Except, then they realized they hadn’t thrown out the litter at all.
Saving Money One Terrible Office Haircut At A Time
A good paper shredder is essential for a smooth-running office, especially whenever a company is dealing with important financial documents. They need to be shredded in a timely manner, and supervised by someone trustworthy. Also, that person should probably make sure they pay attention during the shredding process, because if they don’t, they might wind up shredding more than just a few pieces of paper. It looks like this person leaned over, and their hair got sucked into the shredder.
We’re assuming it was an accident, but who knows, this could just be a new haircutting style that we’re not hip enough for yet.
Worst First Day Ever: Broke $40,000 Worth of Glass
Starting a new job is always tough. There’s the anxiety about meeting our new coworkers, the curiosity about what tasks we’ll be performing, and we’re always hoping that we’ll do well on our first day. Unfortunately for this person though, one of those things just didn’t work out. From the picture below, it looks as if a pallet of glass panes came unhinged from a transport box, spilled out onto the floor and shattered into a million pieces!
It looks like some of the glass from the pallet was saved, which has got to be a relief. Let’s just pray that no one in the warehouse was wearing sandals.
Well, Guess We're Going to Have to Eat Them All Now
It’s always so nice to have coworkers you love to celebrate holidays and birthdays with. It’s even better when those coworkers have good taste, and bring in great snacks to share. This person had the right idea for their 20th birthday when they picked up 60 Krispy Kreme donuts for the office. There was just one problem: right after they picked up the donuts, they learned they’d need to self-isolate for an entire week!
Most people would be disappointed to spend an entire week alone, but with 60 Krispy Kreme donuts at our disposal, we think we’d be just alright.
No You Can't
A lot of advertisements rely on catchphrases, and memorable slogans to endear people to their products. Other advertisements rely on humor, or shock value. Well, as you’ll see in a second, the company in the picture below decided to go for all of the above. This ad is shocking, hilarious, memorable and catchy. Plus, it reminds us all that sometimes, maybe you can’t do it. Obviously, this driver didn’t realize the bridge would be too low for his truck.
Unless of course they did realize, and decided they wanted to create some irony in their advertising. But if that’s the case, who could fault them?
Where Do You Even Start
We usually give customers a free pass if they knock something over and we have to clean it up. Everybody makes mistakes, right? But with the picture below, we don’t know if we’d be able to stay calm– this cleanup must have been an absolute nightmare! It seems like one of the top two shelves was overpacked, or leaned on, and the whole load of oil came tumbling down onto the floor. There’s so much olive oil spreading out over that floor, we could practically swim in it.
Hopefully for the rest of the day, people walked carefully around this supermarket. Let’s make that the rest of the week, actually.
False Alarm Fellas, It’s Just Someone Making Popcorn Again
The fire department is always ready to respond when people are in need. They can get cats out of trees, stop house fires, and in this case, they got called out to an office building because… well, because somebody burned the popcorn. We can’t really blame the person, we all love popcorn. Plus, if our houses and our offices have different model microwaves, how are we supposed to remember which buttons to push!
We’re sure this was just an honest mistake, but we’re still pretty bummed there won’t be any popcorn. Unless… maybe we can try making it in a frying pan next.
When the Office Toilet Automatically Flushes Away Your Keys
Those automatic toilet flushers they have are great most of the time. We can keep our hands (mostly) clean after doing our business, and don’t have to swap germs on the flush handle with anyone else. But, what happens if you’re not ready to flush? Like, what if you dropped your keys in the toilet? Surely the toilet wouldn’t flush a perfectly good set of keys, right? Think again, this picture says.
Apparently, this guy was sitting down on the toilet when his keys wiggled their way out of his pocket. When he stood up to retrieve them, the toilet flushed automatically! Whoosh– there go your house keys. What a bummer!
When Your Coworkers Are Sociopaths
In the picture below, we see a typical office birthday, where one person brought in a nice cake and everyone got to share and enjoy it. It looks like this time, it was Donna’s birthday. At least… we think it’s a birthday cake. This could have also been a retirement cake, or a congratulations on your divorce cake, or even a thanks for the thanks cake. But, we’ll never know, because these crazy coworkers of Donna’s wound up eating all the pieces with good icing!
Now that we look a little closer, we’re not even sure that says Donna. Also, why didn’t these people want the icing flowers? That’s always the best part!
This Is What the Valet Was Asked to Park
It’s always nice when a restaurant makes it easier for their customers to enjoy a meal. Valet service is a great way to do that, and working as a valet is a great way to make some extra money if anyone has a driver’s license and a careful eye! Still, the job requires you to work with other people’s possessions, and that can be stressful and challenging sometimes. In this case though, it was more disgusting than anything else.
That picture reminds us of something from a tv show about hoarders. It actually looks like this person might be a hoarder, and hopefully they got some help eventually.
There’s Nothing In The World Like A Good Eraser
There’s something special about calligraphy. Ancient style writing with quill and ink always looks so beautiful, and makes an incredible decoration for the house. Plus, it’s a great reminder of where we’ve come from, and just how lucky we are to have pens, pencils, and laptops to do our writing now! Unfortunately though, current day calligraphers have the same limitations they used to, and a mistake in the middle means a whole lot of rewriting.
Apparently, this calligrapher had already completed 200 more characters before they realized that there was a mistake with the circled one. Still looks great to us though!
This Actually Doesn't Look All That Bad
Don’t you just hate getting stains on your clothes? It’s even worse when that happens at work, and we don’t have time to change, or the right stain remover to put on and save the clothes from being permanently damaged. This time though, we might actually keep the stain where it is. This woman didn’t exactly plan for this to happen, but when her date stamp started leaking, she wound up with a constellation pattern on her blouse!
We think we can see Orion’s belt in there, and the Cancer crab! Maybe it’d be worth it to drip some ink on the rest of the shirt too.
What Is This: A Movie Theater, or A Barn?
When we go to the movies, we all love to binge on movie snacks. Whether we sneak them in, or buy the popcorn and drink combo, it’s hard not to finish everything before the movie’s even halfway done. Well, if you don’t spill it all on the floor that is. If that’s the case though, don’t you think it’s your responsibility to clean up after yourself? Unfortunately, these people seem to disagree.
Even though there’s a designated person to clean up the theater after a show, we all can do our part and throw our own garbage away anyway. It’s the kind, courteous, and clean thing to do.
Alright Seriously, Who Goes And Steals A Whole Pie?
Plain and simple, we hate lunch stealers. If we’re going to take the time to make a fresh, handmade lunch, bag it up and bring it to work, our coworkers better keep their hands off. For the poor person that took this picture below, it wasn’t just a lunch that got stolen either: their coworker took an entire dessert! And it wasn’t just any coworker either, it was the boss!
We’re still confused how this guy didn’t get too full when he was eating that thing. An entire pecan pie has almost 3,000 calories depending on the recipe too, so that’s more of a meal than a snack.
So That's Why We Need A License For a Forklift
The employees in big box stores do an incredible job of stashing extra stock on pallets up on the shelves. When you look up, it seems like there are products reaching all the way up to the sky. But how do those rolls of toilet paper and bottles of soda and paint cans needs to get up there in the first place? That’s where the forklift comes in. This time though, they probably wish it would’ve stayed out.
No, that’s not an avalanche, it’s eggshell white paint. Now we have to figure out which aisle they’re keeping the paint remover.
We’ve Heard of Mismatching Socks, But This Is Going Too Far
“Dress to impress” they always say, and we always try our best to follow that rule. The person in this picture does too, and they have an outfit planned for every occasion. One problem: they have a little trouble putting those outfits together when the time comes. Apparently on the morning that this picture was taken, they got ready in the dark and mistook one loafer for another, leading to this hilarious mismatch.
The worst part of this is that we don’t know which shoe was appropriate in the first place. Is it black shoes and a gray suit? Brown shoes and a gray suit? Who can even keep track anymore.
The Case of the Spontaneously Exploding Windows
It can be pretty scary to hear breaking glass, especially if you’re not expecting it. The sound reminds us of being kids and dropping a cup in the house, or accidentally throwing a baseball through a neighbor’s window. Hearing breaking glass at the office is a whole other story though, and this person is apparently hearing it every couple of weeks! Check out this picture below and tell us that doesn’t look scary.
Someone at our office commented that this could spell a structural problem for the building. So if this is happening to you every few weeks, make sure to call an inspector.
When Your Coworkers Don't Know How to Use a Toolbox
If you’re on the closing shift at the shop, you might as well clean-up for the day and make it easier for the opening shift in the morning. We know, you’re already ready to go home, but it usually doesn’t take that long to tidy up. Unless of course, you spill an entire box of different sized nuts and bolts all over the ground. Cleaning that up might keep you at the office a little while longer.
That’s always the most frustrating thing about those boxes we use to organize tools and hardware. They never stay closed, so everything is always out of place!
Maybe It Was an Innocent Mistake
Has your office ever been faced with a coffee cup shortage? For whatever reason, sometimes we need to borrow each other’s mugs, and while lending a coworker your things is a nice gesture, it can lead to some confusion. For example, this person decided to borrow a heat activated mug from their office buddy before a big meeting. What happened next is pure comedy, as the mug began to read: “Nobody Knows… I’m Gay,” during the meeting.
This seems more like a gag gift that someone gave a friend than it does an actual office mug. Still, could you even imagine how funny that meeting would’ve been?
The Worst Case of Bad Luck in Existence
We always give big construction vehicles on the road some extra room. It’s not that we don’t trust their operators, it’s just that these vehicles are so big, and carrying such volatile material sometimes, that we prefer to be on the safe side and give them some space. Unfortunately, the person in the picture below didn’t feel the same way, and paid the price handsomely. No, that’s not a new coat of paint on the car, it’s a new layer of concrete.
Even though it looks like this might be something you can brush off, if they don’t move fast, that car could be completely frozen solid like a statue.
This Looks Like a Bad Night for Everyone Involved
Trips to the liquor store are always fun. There’s usually going to be a fun night ahead of you, or if it’s a late night trip, then that means the good times have already started. Unfortunately for this little grocery mart and liquor store though, the good times turned bad in a hurry. This looks like either a shelf failure, or a drunken tumble, but either way that is a lot of broken glass, and a lot of spilled alcohol all over the floor.
We can see at least one bottle of Bushmills survived. And some of the Malibu on the end is fine too. So, hopefully these workers grabbed a drink before they started cleaning up the mess.
Who Needs A Mirror When We’ve Got Video Calls
We always make sure to check the video preview on our laptop cameras before a work meeting. Wouldn’t want anything embarrassing to sneak into the background, like a dirty pair of underwear or an empty can of beer. You wouldn’t leave the house without looking in the mirror first, right? Well, Lindsey apparently did. Something about the camera angle and the lighting in the room here made it look like this woman was totally frustrated, and completely naked during her meeting.
Her coworkers totally should’ve given her a heads up too, but they might’ve been laughing too hard to say anything.
This Person Didn't Notice She Had Underwear Hanging Out of Her Pants at Work
We can’t all do laundry every day. Actually, we don’t think we know anyone who does laundry every day. Still, every once in a while a laundry mishap occurs that can throw off your whole outfit, and your whole day. This person has some firsthand experience with that, since a pair of underwear got lodged in their pant leg, and they wore the jeans around for a whole entire workday!
This one is pretty embarrassing, we’ve got to admit. But, we still think it’s still better than walking around with a whole was of toilet paper stuck to your foot.
That Money Looks A Little Funny
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could pay for everything with monopoly money? The government builds in a bunch of security features with paper money, like holograms, invisible ink, and serial numbering that make it practically impossible to get away with using fake bills. But apparently, one person in the financial sector wasn’t looking close enough. As you’ll see from the picture below, this bill is most definitely fake.
We’re not sure how this one got by the teller. They must’ve just been so tired and used to seeing real bills, they forgot to check this once. Still, to print “Warn, This Not Real Money, Is Copy Money,” on a bill, means that nobody was supposed to even think this was real in the first place.
How Many Beans Is Too Many Beans?
Don’t you just love the smell of fresh roasted coffee in the morning? We’ve got a nice coffee shop right by our office that roasts their beans in house, and it’s such a joy to stop in for a morning brew before getting to work. There’s just one problem with roasting your own coffee beans, as you’ll see below, and that’s the need to keep roasted beans separate from the unroasted ones. Sounds easy enough, no?
We can’t even imagine how long it must’ve taken to separate these beans back out. That person working with the credit card seems to have some experience with this though, so it shouldn’t take too long.
Is This Bad Luck or Extremely Good Luck?
Well, sounds like those Amazon orders are going to be delayed a few days. This shocking picture below shows a FedEx truck hanging off an Indiana bridge after icy conditions sent the big rig sliding. Thankfully, the driver was unharmed, but we’re left imagining how many packages in the back of that truck went undelivered. What if that truck was carrying birthday presents! In frigid conditions like these, it’s recommended to keep some kitty litter or sand in the trunk of your car.
These can be poured out onto the ice and give you some traction if you ever become stuck.
There’s Nothing Funnier Than a Real, Genuine Spit Take
The first sip of coffee in the morning is like a religious ritual for many of us. It’s an exciting marker that spells the start of our workday, and a little caffeine boost that can help improve our moods and performance. This person had that routine interrupted however, when a fly found it’s way into his steaming cup of joe. Thankfully, they spit the fly out. Not so thankfully, they spit the fly, and the coffee, all over their laptop.
It's looking like this person might need a new keyboard after this. It definitely looks like they need a new cup of coffee.
